Agra Fort: A city in the city of Taj

This humongous structure, a city in itself, has been a residence to a lot of kings from the Rajputs to the Lodhis and later on to the Mughals.  So much is said about the strategically built Agra Fort- the four gates, 70 feet high walls, 94 acre area and structures made for high security.

Yet the most fascinating part about this architectural marvel is the Taj Mahal! Confused? Well when you start walking around, you’ll find the highest traffic movement towards one direction which is the riverside (half dried Yamuna) of the fort. As you’ll follow the crowd, you’d see this very pretty sight- the Taj Mahal and the paparazzi!
